New Site, New Posts

I started a new project this week, mainly because I don’t already have enough going on.

I’ve enjoyed about beauty products for Examiner, but sometimes I feel like I want a few less restrictions on what and how I write, and my own site lets me do that. I could have probably kept some more of that stuff over here, but it doesn’t feel right here.

So, if you’re interested in talking about beauty stuff, makeup and nail polish, stop on by. I’m over at Beauty Splurges making it pretty.

This week I’ve posted a mini review of Lashem’s eyelash boosting serum and a few of my thoughts about Josie Maran’s Argan Oil.

If you do come on by, say hello so I know you were there!

21 Days to a More Disciplined Life, Now Available!

I’ve mentioned before that I follow Crystal Paine’s blog and projects at Money Saving Mom. Recently she posted a series about becoming more disciplined. She’s now turned the series into an ebook, with expanded sections and some nifty printables. (I’m thrilled to say that I’ve got a review copy, and I’ll be posting my thoughts tomorrow.)

You don’t have to wait for my review, though! 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life is available starting today, for just $.99. The sale price is good through Thursday, October 25. Grab a copy, and then come back tomorrow to read the review and follow along in my own path to a more disciplined life!

Contest: Galley of Shiloh Walker’s BLADE SONG

I’ve been reading excerpts of this as she’s posted them on Book Country under a different title, and I love the character. But then I’m also a huge fan of UF, so this is definitely on my radar. There’s a short story on Tor’s website that I adored. Doesn’t hurt that the artwork on that short is pretty badass.

Head on over to Shiloh’s website to enter to win one of 50 galley copies.

More info:

Check out Shiloh’s latest project…Blade Song. Enter to win a galley to review…and she’s giving away 50!

You can enter via her blog. You can tweet about it. And if you post about it to your blog, you get a couple of extra entries…

Kit Colbana—half breed, assassin, thief, jack of all trades—has a new job: track down the missing ward of one of the local alpha shapeshifters. It should be a piece of cake.

So why is she so nervous? It probably has something to do with the insanity that happens when you deal with shifters—especially sexy ones who come bearing promises of easy jobs and easier money.

Or maybe it’s all the other missing kids that Kit discovers while working the case, or the way her gut keeps screaming she’s gotten in over her head. Or maybe it’s because if she fails—she’s dead.

If she can stay just one step ahead, she should be okay. Maybe she’ll even live long to collect her fee…

Go. Now. Win one.
